I shared this recipe over four years ago, merely in that location is a reason information technology is still 1 of the virtually pop recipes on my blog and the highest rated!  This recipe has ever been a weekly staple in our home, especially in the fall, but it really comes in handy and is a MUST when meal planning and prepping during the calendar week.  Not only does it make a ton, but this chili is total of veggies, lean turkey and lots of season!

I really make this recipe all the time, not just during the autumn, because it's quick, easy, really really healthy and makes a TON of leftovers for lunches during the week.  It'due south as well my go-to tailgate recipe (that I always double of form) because it feeds SO many people which I must say makes me pretty happy since I've never had any complaints.  It was even featured on ESPN's pre-game show at last yr's tailgate!  I mean it's certainly no hush-hush that nosotros're huge football fans so this was a very proud moment for us!

When it comes to making chili you really tin can't go wrong.  Y'all throw in your basic ingredients, chop up your veggies and let everything simmer until all the flavors have marinated and your chili is pipage hot.  Boom, Piece of cake.  This recipe is a quick i, only taking about an 60 minutes or so, but this would gustation just every bit good in a irksome-cooker!  Make sure to brown and crumble your turkey before adding it to your crock-pot of course, only throw everything in and come dwelling from work to a delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • ii lbs 99% fat-complimentary ground turkey
  • ane xanthous onion, chopped
  • v cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • one (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes, no-salt added
  • one (15 oz) can petite diced tomatoes, no-common salt added
  • 3 Tbsp lycopersicon esculentum paste
  • i/2 tsp. hot sauce (I used Texas Pete)
  • one (15 oz) can kidney beans, no-salt added, drained and rinsed
  • ane red bong pepper, chopped
  • 1 light-green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 jalapenos, chopped
  • i 1/two tsp. bounding main common salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • one packet Stevia
  • 3 Tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Drizzle olive oil in a big pot and saute onion and garlic until fragrant, virtually three minutes. Add together ground turkey and melt until crumbled and chocolate-brown, draining excess liquid every bit necessary.
